KNIGHTON Town extended their unbeaten run to nine games in Spar Mid-Wales League Division One with a 2-0 home victory over Welshpool Town.

First half goals from defender Dewi Allen and striker Sam Williams earned the Radnor Robins the spoils as they kept an eighth successive clean sheet.

Knighton are now just two points behind leaders Penrhyncoch and will look to step up their title challenge away at Bow Street this Saturday.
