HEREFORD Lads Club player-manager Danny Moon rued his side's luck after they drew 0-0 with Shifnal Town in West Midlands (Regional) League Division One.

Moon felt Shifnal should have had a player sent off early in the game after Tom Harding was through on goal.

"He pulled him back when he was one-on-one and was about to shoot, but he only got yellow carded with a free-kick awarded on the edge of the box," said Moon.

"We hadn't played since December 5 before the game, so we went out to be solid at the start and not conceded an early goal.

"On the balance of play, it's probably a point gained, but we had two or three good chances and out keeper didn't have to make a save."

The draw leaves Lads Club 17 points behind leaders AFC Ludlow, but with six games in hand.

It means Moons's side will have to play four games in the last week of the season.

"We have got a big squad and if we win our games in hand we go top," said Moon.

"We could fall apart or we could win them all."

Elsewhere in the division, Kington Town only had a Miles Langford goal to show for their efforts as they went down 2-1 to Team Dudley, while Bartestree lost 3-0 to Wyrley.
