KINGTON Town manager Shaun Harris said he was pleased with another three points despite being frustrated for most of the game.

“It was a massively frustrating afternoon but I was pleased with the four in the end,” said Harris.

“We just came up against a barrier of about eight players but it’s still three points.

“I think we just took too much time on the ball and with so much of an obstacle in front of you I think frustration was kicking in.

“Not having Dan Stack was quite evident because he adds a physical presence in the box and would have helped us score a few more.”

Kington re-joined the West Midlands (Regional) Football League after finishing eighth in the Herefordshire Football League Premier Division last season.

Harris said the team has settled into it well and would love to get promoted at the first attempt.

“We are really determined that we are going to win it,” he said.

“Getting ourselves out of the division is the main priority but if we can win it and go up as champions, that would be the icing on the cake for everyone.

“We are hoping it could be as many as three that go up, even possibly four, but we can’t be looking at that.

“We’ve just got to make sure that we finish first, but we are in a lucky position in that, if we win all our games, we win the league. It’s going to be very difficult, but beating Darlaston was a good marker for us and we’re really confident that we can go on and win it now.”
