Wyrley 3 Hereford Lads Club 4
COACH Richie Jones hailed the commitment from Liam Jones after Lads Club warmed up for this Saturday's derby against Ledbury Town.
Liam Jones gave a man-of-the-match display for Lads Club despite playing with an injury.
Richie Jones said: "This was a very good team performance and our work-rate was brilliant."
Lads Club missed a glut of chances but led 2-1 at the break in last Saturday's West Midlands League Division One match.
Liam Jones opened the scoring, heading in Danny Moon's cross before Ben Chambers and Jones had efforts ruled out.
Moon and Matt Evans fired wide before Jordan Holmes levelled in controversial fashion for the hosts.
Lads Club regained the lead with the best move from the game, Kalum Wildig tucking the ball home after Chamers dummied Danny Moon's pass.
The Hereford club extended their advantage through Steve Dixon but Nathaniel Hare hit back for Wyrley.
Danny Moon's 25-yard free-kick put the visitors 4-2 ahead before Hare struck again to set up an exciting finish.
