A HORSE bred by Herefordshire jockey Richard Johnson had a fine win at Southwell last week.
River Arrow, named after the river that flows through Johnson's home village of Pembridge, won the grandnational2017.com National Hunt Novices Hurdle.
The horse was ridden by James Davies and passed Johnson, who was riding for his boss Philip Hobbs.
Last May, River Arrow was bought by county farmer Frank Green and Michael Roberts, of C.F. Roberts Electricians and is trained by Tom Symonds.
