EASTNOR have been deducted a huge 85 points that has seen them slump to the bottom of the Worcestershire County League.

The villagers are understood to have fielded an ineligible player, which has resulted in them being hit with the heavy punishment, and won't be appealing the decision.

Eastnor dropped down to the Worcestershire League following successive relegations in the Birmingham League and started this season in decent form, winning four matches.

But they are now 25 points from safety and have 15 games to climb as high up the table as they can.

Eastnor also had a bad day on the pitch last Saturday, losing by 168 runs to Hagley.

Alex Millard's 82 and Daniel Giles' 66 ultimately did the damage as Hagley posted 271-5 off 50 overs.

Three quick wickets saw Eastnor slump from 22-0 to 22-3 and they were eventually bowled out for 103.
