KINGTON'S Michael Green hit a stunning 96 off just 31 balls as the Herefordshire side maintained their unbeaten start to the Marches League Division One season with a 180-run win over Builth Wells.

Green's knock included five balls and eight sixes, while Ben George also scored 49.

Builth Wells were dismissed for just 67, with George taking three wickets.

Kington are now just two points behind Goodrich at the top of the division.

Goodrich have also won four games, with their latest win being a 135-run victory over Abergavenny-Crickhowell.

Andrew Brown finished unbeaten on 113 for Goodrich, while Joe Provis scored 46.

Brown also took three wickets, with James O'Brien snapping up another two.

At the bottom of the division, Woolhope claimed a vital 99-run win against Dales.

The villagers still occupy the final relegation spot after five games, but are only eight points behind fourth-placed Abergavenny-Crickhowell.

Darren O'Hare finished unbeaten on 65 for Woolhope, while Matt Windley hit 40 as the home side posted 195-6 off 45 overs.

In reply, only Ian Jones (34) and Jo Privett (24) got into double figures for Dales, with a batting collapse costing the Leominster side dear.

Dales were bowled out for 96 (Stuart Davies taking 5-37 for Woolhope), which leaves them in deep trouble at the foot of the division.

Elsewhere, David Price blitzed through the Garnons batting attack to help Brockhampton Thirds claim a stunning 10-run win.

Jacob Broadbridge hit a decent half century and David Glinos 44 for Brockhampton, but it looked like their total of 211 wouldn't be enough.

Elsewhere, reigning champions Luctonians beat Glangrwyney by eight wickets; Tom Jay taking a five-wicket haul and Duncan Platford finishing unbeaten on 66.

In Division Two, Canon Frome are top with their latest win coming against Eastnor Thirds.

Pete Richards and Andy Lloyd finished unbeaten on 70 and 65 respectively as Canon Frome won by nine wickets.

Elsewhere, Luctonians Seconds beat Knighton-on-Teme, Almeley saw off Ledbury and Cleobury Mortimer overcame Presteigne.

Colwall Thirds had a winning draw against Ross-on-Wye.

In Division Three, there were wins for Canon Frome Seconds, Ledbury Seconds, Goodrich Seconds and Talybont-on-Usk, while Bosbury, Herefordians, Brockhampton Fourths, Woolhope Seconds and Ross-on-Wye Seconds were victors in Division Four.
