THE man who was on the receiving end of Garry Sobers' six sixes in an over will be talking at a Herefordshire Cricket Society meeting this Thursday.
Malcolm Nash, who played first class cricket for Glamorgan, earned his notoriety on August 31, 1968.
The ball was later sold by auctioneers Christie's for £26,000 in November 2006, although there is some doubt as it whether it was actually the exact ball that Sobers bowled.
Nash, who also played Minor Counties cricket for Shropshire, was also hit for five sixes and a four by Lancashire batsman Frank Hayes.
Nevertheless, he took just under 1,000 first class wickets at a good average of just over 25, with his best bowlign figures being 9-56.
Nash will be talking at Hereford Rowing Club from 7.30pm.
