BURGHILL & Tillington are now out of the relegation zone in Worcestershire County Cricket League Division One following a dramatic win against Pedmore.

The villagers bowled the visitors out for 152 after posting 153-9.

Opening batsman Jacob James led the way for Burghill with a fine 44, with Owen Morgan making 42.

Stefan Hook was then the pick of the bowlers with his four wickets being key to his side's success.

Burghill now have 93 points, just one ahead of second from bottom Redditch and three more than Pedmore, who bring up the rear.

Dinusha Fernando was once again in fine form for Bromyard, but his century was not enough as Hagley secured a 57-run win.

Fernando made 106 off 122 balls, with Ryan Tongue (46) and Greg Leighton (40) also in fine nick.

But the other seven batsmen only scored 33 runs between them, which proved costly in the end.

Brent Hartley's 46 helped Wormelow beat Harborne by six wickets in Division Two.

Jamie Langford also posted 32, with Edward Melly and Liam Reeves both snapping up three wickets each.

Luke Sparrow hit a fine century for Bartestree & Lugwardine, but it was still not enough as they went down to a two-wicket defeat against Netherton in Division Three.

In the same division, Ross-on-Wye were thrashed by 107 runs by Claverley, while in Division Seven South, Bartestree & Lugwardine 3rd lost by three wickets to Kidderminster Victoria.
