TOM Coleman was in fine batting form as his unbeaten knock of 68 easily saw Colwall home against county rivals Burghill & Tillington in Division 1 of the Worcestershire County Cricket League.

Coleman smashed 12 fours and a six and was well supported by Nick Panniers, who finished unbeaten on 30.

Earlier, Jonathan Hunter and Jon Gooch both grabbed three wickets as Burghill were bowled out for 130.

Only Sam, Johnston (34), Stefan Hook (32 not out), Edward Symonds (21) and Owen Morgan (12) scored more than 10 runs.

Will Treloar did quickly take the wicket of Ben Cooke to leave Colwall on 7-1 before he clean bowled James Abel.

But opening batsman Coleman and Panniers saw Colwall home for an eight-wicket win.

Bromyard yet again struggled as they lost 46 runs to Belbroughton; Jeremy Leighton finishing unbeaten on 40 for Bromyard.

In Division 2, Brent Hartley's 73 saw Wormelow secure a winning draw against Malvern, but Bartestree & Lugwardine went down by seven runs to Avoncroft in Division 3, despite some fine work by Ben Simpkin.

The Bartestree player grabbed four wickets as Avoncroft were bowled out for 226 before smashing 105 runs.

But it proved to be in vain.

Ross-on-Wye were thrashed by eight wickets by Chaddersley Corbett; Graham Howls top scoring for Ross with 13.

In Division 7 South, Bartestree & Lugwardine 3rd suffered an 87-run defeat to Kidderminster Victoria 3rd.

in the Second XI League, Bromyard beat AQlvechurch & Hopwood by three wickets, Wormelow thrashed Malvern by seven wickets and Bartestree & Lugwardine overcame Worcester Dominies & Guild by 52 runs.

But Ross were hammered by 10 wickets by Kempsey.
