A FAMILIAR voice will be missing from Hereford United weekend matches as BBC Hereford and Worcester’s regular commentator Keith Hall has swapped the Blue Square Bet Premier for the Barclays Premier League.
Hall has teamed up with talkSPORT Live and will be broadcasting match commentaries around the globe from this weekend.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity of commentating on matches from the top flight, but you can be sure I’ll still be following Hereford’s progress very closely,” said Leominster -based Hall.
“It’s a surreal feeling knowing your voice will be heard on radio stations as far afield as Africa, New Zealand, Ghana and Canada. I’m more used to a fan base in Weobley and Wormelow !”
UTV Media’s four-year deal with the Premier League will see it produce commentaries on every top-flight match with coverage of 380 games per season in languages including English, Spanish and Mandarin.
“My language skills don’t extend to match commentary in Mandarin, but hopefully a slice of Herefordian will do,” said Hall.
