OLA Andersson and Ann Barnes took top billing with men’s and women’s singles title success as large crowd saw some high class table tennis in the Herefordshire County Table Tennis Championships at Queen Elizabeth College in Bromyard.

Mark Owen was looking for his 23rd men’s singles title and won the first game against defending champion Andersson, by 12.10 but then the games went alternatively to each player until the fifth game which put Andersson 3.2 ahead.

Owen hit back to level before, Andersson emerged as the winner in the final game which produced a wonderful display of fast and accurate play from both players.

Barnes beat defending champions Zoe Castle to win the Ladies’ Singles title for the fifth time.
