GOLD Cup disappointment turned into National success for the son of eight-time champion jockey Peter Scudamore.
Tom Scudamore rode outsider The Giant Bolster, who finished second to Synchronised, in Friday’s Gold Cup thriller at the Cheltenham Festival.
But Tom’s despair turned to joy 24 hours later when he triumphed aboard Master Overseer in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter.
Herefordshire jockey Richard Johnson showed he’s recovered from a high-profile fall from Wishfull Thinking at Cheltenham.
He led Volador home in Home Goals Galore Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter.
