HEREFORD United have just confirmed that goalkeeper Dave Cornell has been given clearance to play in tomorrow's FA Cup game against Yeovil.
The on-loan Swansea keeper tweeted last night that he was on his way back to Hereford and the Bulls have said that he has reported to training this morning.
Cornell was initially rufused permission to play by Wales under-21 manager Brian Flynn, because he wanted him to fly out to Armenia today prior to a qualifer on Tuesday.
Behind the scenes negotiations between Hereford and Wales then seemed to resolve matters when Cornell was given permission to play.
But, in a further twist, Bulls director of football Gary Peters said yesterday that Flynn had again ruled him out.
The Hereford Times reported last night that Dan Connor, who retired at the start of the season due to a long standing hip injury, was put on stand-by.
It is unclear at this stage whether Connor will be on the substitutes bench for tomorrow's game.
