PETER Lewis has clinched the Historic Class of the 2011 Heart of England Rally Championship using his 1961 Ford Anglia.
The Hereford based solicitor has been the model of consistency all year and secured the championship with two events still remaining.
Along with experienced navigator Stuart Cardell from Abergavenny, the pair entered a number of championship events, including the Rally of the Midlands, the AGBO Rally and Western Park.
Their 1961 Ford Anglia has been built and run by Hereford Motor Engineers Ted Richards to exacting Historic Rally Car regulations, where only period parts available for the car are allowed to be used.
