MY job involves everything to do with football at Hereford United - the finances, working to a budget and getting people through the gates.

The first team is the most important thing and this season is going to be a firefight from start to finish and we need everybody to be on our side.

I think there has been a great work ethic from the players over the last two matches.

Nathan Elder was like two players for us on Saturday - he was running and chasing everything. He played like that for as long as he possibly could.

We have been trying a few different things and the players have been tremendous in the way they have taken to the new challenges.

It will take a couple of months for the players to get fully used to what we are trying to do.

Every player will give 100% and we will make it tough for the opposition.

We can't play great football overnight but we can made it hard for the opposition and make it easier for ourselves.

We have had a good start but we have achieved nothing.

If we had not won on Saturday, we would be at the bottom of the League.

We have to go out believing that we can win every game and make it hard for the opposition to deal with what we are going to do.

The supporters on Saturday were absolutely brilliant.

The more that Hereford fans get behind us, the more passionate I will get for Hereford United. We need the whole city behind us.

I also want to give the fans a chance to have their say - we will be running regular forums and meetings and we need to make sure we know what the fans are thinking.

If the club drops down a division, players, managers and directors of football tend to get sacked, but the supporters are left to deal with it.

Supporters are really honest people and if they feel that the 11 people out there are giving their all then they will be pleased even if the performances aren't brilliant.

At the moment we have got seven loan players at the club but we can only play five so there’s a competition for places even among the loan players which helps to get 100% from everyone.

Because we have only one fit goalkeeper Dave Cornell will definitely play so six loans players are fighting it out for four places.

Although I have not yet signed my contract, everything has been agreed. We are simply waiting for the correct wording in the contract from the League Managers' Association.

There are no hang-ups at this end - and I am not here for the money. We are just waiting for the lawyers to put the words in the right order.
