Hereford Cathedral School Boat Club’s celebrated their most productive day of the year in the Llandaff Regatta.

In the wake of their success at other regattas and competitions across the country, Cathedral won eight events, as well as producing a series of strong performances from all age groups, which could not be matched by the competition.

Over 500m in tail wind, there were numerous highlights throughout the day from everyone involved with the Cathedral School squad.

Individual performances of note include a fine effort from Ruth Smith who won the WJ14 singles and the WJ14 Doubles with her partner Rhian Evans; Steph Street and Izzy Hancock stormed to victory in the WJ17 doubles; Simon George took the trophy in the MJ17 Singles while Kate Jones won the IM3 event.

Jane Delicata, Hereford Cathedral School’s Rowing Coach said: “I am delighted that we finished the year on such a high note.

“The squad are now looking forward to joining Ric Colborne, Hereford Cathedral School's rowing coach this summer for his training camp, which will culminate in a large entry at Ross Regatta on both Sunday and Monday.”
