HEREFORDSHIRE’S Rhiannon Jones won two gold medals at the Varese International Regatta in Italy.
She clinched two outstanding triumphs with the Great Britain Adaptive LTA (Legs, Trunk and Arms) Mixed Coxed Four.
The 22-year-old cox from Pontrilas guided an experimental mixed adaptive coxed four to victory in their first regatta.
The British quartet included two rowers making their international racing debuts and they pushed Ireland into second spot.
Jones also led the mixed adaptive coxed four to their second gold in the second regatta.
The Great Britain crew won by two lengths from Ireland with Italy taking third.
Jones, a former Hereford Sixth Form College student, first tasted gold for Great Britain at last year’s World Cup Regatta in Munich.
She also helped Great Britain to first place at the World Rowing Championships in Poland.
