VETERANS and juniors from Ross Rowing Club have turned in some good results at the Marlow Time Trial.

Twelve crews from the club took part in the event at Dorney Lake, the venue for rowing at the 2012 Olympics.

The veteran crew of Jeremy Picton-Turbervil, Graham Watling, Paul Brodholt and Dave Sykes, coxed by Lucy Jones won their division and were the fastest coxed veteran crew of the day.

There were also some impressive results from the junior squad who featured in races with some very large divisions.

Kelly Morris and Rosie Lindley came second by just two seconds in a field of nine in the WJ16 double scull while there was also a second place for Abi Beddard and Rosie Brandram Jones in the WJ15 2x.

The J16 squad of Lucy Jones, Kerry Meek, Abi Beddard and Rosie Brandram Jones were third in another strong division.

And a brave performance from Christina Stephenson, Molly Phillips, Imogen Gray and Syke Jenkins, coxed by Rhodri Morris, brought them fourth place in the WJ13 quad competition.

Three members of the Ross Junior academy made the long journey north to take part in the Scottish Indoor Championships with Megan Jephcote taking a silver medal in the J 12 category.

Jess and Sam Boon also performed creditably with all three invited by the organisers to be included in the relay events.
