HEREFORD United season-ticket holder Shane Roberts bowed out of Channel 4 television quiz show Countdown at the quarter-final stage.
Roberts, who was brought up in Leominster, suffered a comprehensive 82-35 defeat to Leyton Orient fan Neil Zussmann.
“It wasn’t quite as one-sided as it sounds but I was outplayed,” said Roberts. “Neil then lost his semi-final to the eventual winner, Kirk Bevins.”
Roberts’ mother, Olive Roberts, still lives in Leominster, while his sister Karen is based in Shobdon.
