HEREFORD FC will have a goalkeeper from West Bromwich Albion play for them tonight.

Ethan Ross, 20, will feature in the game against Cardiff City, as well as next Monday's encounter against Gloucester City.

"West Brom are keen for their young players to experience senior football, so he does ok then we will will see if we can have him for a bit longer," said Hereford manager Pete Beadle.

Hereford have lost two goalkeepers in the space of two months, with Oliver Davies following Alex Harris out of the Edgar Street door.

Davies is set to sign for either Newport County or Yeovil Town just a month after joining Hereford from Merthyr Town.

"The plan is, if he goes to Newport, he will go out on loan and if he goes to Yevoil, he will be a number two," added Beadle.

"It's disappointing, but we've always said that we wouldn't stand in anyone's way when they are offered full time football.

"We spoke to a player about maybe coming here, but he said he had already agreed to go to another club and that was the end of that.

"So it's disappointing that we've had two keepers now who have shaken hands then left."

Teenager keeper Max Harris will be on the bench tonight, but Beadle will be relucant to use him due to the 17-year-old currently undergoing a week-long trial at Aston Villa.

"He played for them yesterday in a 7-1 win and did everything that was asked of him," said Beadle.

"So it's up to them to see if he has the potential to play that level of football.

"Rhys [Evans] certainly feels he can go on to bigger and better things and he has already played 25 to 30 league games at senior level."
