BELMONT Wanderers are this week’s Hereford Times Herefordshire Football League team of the week thanks to a 5-3 win over Northwood Rangers in Division 3.

Goals from James Titley and Dermot Clarke were added to by a brace from Jordan Evans to secure the win, with Northwood's goals coming from Ben Davies, Jimmy Mills and Daryll Pinnell.

The win moves Belmont above Northwood in the league table and into fifth place/

Orleton Colts Reserves and Tupsley both took advantage of the top two in the division not being in action.

Orleton thumped Weston 8-0 thanks to a five-goal haul from Liam Watton.

Ben Apperley also grabbed a hat-trick in the rout that seas Orleton close the gap to leaders Dore Valley to six points and just a point behind Ledbury Town Colts, who are second.

Tupsley are fourth following a fine 4-1 win over Malvern Vale.

Elsewhere in the league, Tori Williams grabbed a brace in Leominster Town Reserves’ 5-2 win over Shobdon Reserves at the local derby played at Shobdon Airfield.

The Premier Division was hit hard by the weather, with no games surviving, but in Division One, top of the table Bromyard were held to a 2-2 draw by fourth-placed Holme Lacy.

Rushane Brown and Richard Macdonald scored for the visitors.

In Division 1’s only other surviving game of the day, Wellington Colts fired six past Brimfield without reply.

Alex Hunt scored two of Wellington’s goals, with Arnie Heal, William Mohan and Nick Price also getting on the scoresheet.

There were no league matches in Division 2, but two sides battled it out in the Handley Cup, with Kington Town Reserves overcoming the form-book to beat Tenbury Town 6-5 after extra-time.

Neil Price smashed in four of Kington's goals, with Stephen Caple and Ryan Newton also netting, while Alex Bright (two), Ashley Botwood and Chris Patton scored for Tenbury in the 11 goal thriller.
