COLWALL & Malvern had to settle for a point against Sherborne & Bourton in West Club's Women's Hockey League Severn Division 1.

Playing a new formation with few defenders available, Colwall attacked well in the first half but could not convert any of their chances.

However, they did take the lead after the break when Kerry Tudge slotted home in the bottom corner.

The goal sparked the away side into life though and they soon equalised.

Melinda Bennett and Alicia Lawson then had to defend stoutly for Colwall to ensure they took home a share of the spoils.

Colwall are away to Bourton and Sherborne again this week for a rearranged game.

Cheltenham scored two early goals before Ellie Baxter pulled one back for Hereford.

But the home side scored again to seal the win.

India Timmerson had to stand in goal for Colwall due to captain jenny Peake being absent and made some outstanding saves.

But she could not prevent Lansdown scoring five times, with Colwall's solitary goal coming through Naomi Heywood.
