A FORMER World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star said it was a privilege to perform in Hereford.

David Heath, known to grappling fans as Gangrel, topped the bill at a packed Ironfist Wrestling show at the Richmond Club last Saturday.

The 45-year-old, who starred in the WWE in the late 1990's and early 2000's and led a faction known as the Brood, won his match against Brandon Thomas.

"It was awesome, it's always good to get out and tour the country and get into smaller venues and relate to the fans," said Heath.

"The crowd were into it from the beginning right to the end.

"It was a real pleasure to be here and wrestle.

"It's a great place and I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out."

Heath added he was also impressed with how Ironfst organised the show.

"This is my first experience with them and they are a top-notch, first class act and I have no complaints.

"I think the fella who I fought learnt to know how to bend the rules a little bit but good prevailed over evil and everything was balanced."

Another wrestler who appeared on the card was Mark Haskins, who has featured in Total Non-Stop Wrestling (TNA).

Haskins, who was in TNA between 2011 and 2012, prevailed against Jack Gallagher.

Other matches saw Lion Kid defeat Xander Cooper, Toni Storm and Killian Jacobs bear Danii Hunter and Dave Delvecchio in a mixed tag team match, Hereford's Kaiden Rouke overcoming Tony Spitfire and Leo Addison holding onto his Ironfist Wrestling British Championship after beating Mad Dog Maxx.,

Heath and Haskins are the latest big name wrestlers to appear at the Richmond Club.

Last year, TNA's Doug Williams fought in a match, while Georgia Smith, daughter of the legendary British Bulldog, also watched a show.

The next star set to entertain fans is former WWE and World Championship Wrestling (WCW) Cruiserweight Champion Juventud Guerrera.

He will face Haskins and the Lion Kid in a triple threat match on May 16.
