A BOARD and bike park is due to be opened in Tillington.

The venture will be unveiled at Court Farm Leisure Park in April, which the organisers say, will open up whole new world of mountain boarding and mountain biking.

It is the brainchild of Tom Donaldson and Phil De Havilland-Hall, who along with their team, will offer packages for children’s parties, stag and hen do’s and corporate teams.

Developing connections with local schools and scout groups are also part of the plan. The centre will host the first national mountain board competition for the 2015 season in May, with the team following in the footsteps of Ironside’s Raphael La Roche.

Matt Brine, ATBA-UK director, treasurer and events manager , said: "It’s great that such a long term and legendary centre has been able to stay open.

“The centre at Court Farm is fantastic for beginners and experts alike with plenty of terrain for all abilities. “

“The crew behind Hereford Board and Bike park have hit the nail on the head by diversifying to include other action sports which should help the centre to grow."
