HEREFORD United’s new mystery investors will be watching a trial game for the club in London next Saturday.

A sports management company, called SSGlobalSports, says the trials for United’s new team will take place at Bedfont FC.

SSGlobalSports’ Twitter page claims the trial “Will be watched by the new owners plus by pro-scouts representing over 12 pro clubs.”

United chairman David Keyte expects an investment deal to be concluded shortly but says those putting in the cash, believed to be based in London, want to remain anonymous.

Keyte says he expects to remain in the hot-seat after the investment has been confirmed.

Since United avoided relegation from the Conference Premier at Aldershot, then caretaker boss Pete Beadle has joined Sutton United and assistant Steve Jenkins, Merthyr Town.

Three people are understood to have been interviewed in London for the manager's job.

And fans’ message board speculation claims Terry Harris, the assistant boss of Luton Town, will be among those involved in a new-look Hereford United management team.

SSGlobalSports’ Twitter page says: “HIGH PROFILE PRO SHOWCASE/TRIAL GAME FOR HEREFORD UNITED(first team/u21s/youth team) WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY MAY 31ST 2014 @ BEDFONT FC,"

“As a result of our last pro showcase game in nottingham, SIX players have been invited by NOTTS COUNTY, TRANMERE, BURY & BLACKBURN ROVERS.”

The 'fans' of Hereford united have been treated with contempt by the 'Board'. We, the 'Fans' have given time, support and extra financial help over the last season. I feel quite angry, and may find something else to do every other Saturday afternoon.

Yet again, the supporters don't seem to be told what is going on. Everything is shrouded in mystery and intrigue. How many times have we been told that investment, or deals are just around the corner? Until we see the debts paid off it is hardly surprising that scepticism still abounds.
Trials in London?
I hope the lads who played for the youth team, and didn't get offered contracts, are considered. Bowen, Williams and Murphy are good and worthy players, but I also saw some other outstanding lads in that team.
Anyone who watched the Giantkillers Cup Final at Edgar Street between United youth and Pegasus saw some great football by both sides,
Local lads who are very worthy of consideration played for both teams. It was probably the best game I saw at Edgar Street last season.
The loss of that youth team coached so well by Peter Beadle is very, very sad.

Not a Hereford United fan, per se, but have been to Edgar Street a few times and generally found their fans to be an alright bunch.

This deal smells dodgy as heck at present - who are these owners and why are they holding trials for players in London? Oh, and Bedfont FC does not exist - there is Bedfont Sports (Combined Counties Premier League), Bedfont & Feltham (Combined Counties 1st Division) and Bedfont Sports (Surrey Elite League). Bedfont FC does not exist.

The website of SS Global Sports, whilst neat and tidy enough, could easily have been cobbled together by a teenager doing an ICT project for GCSE's- it does not look professional for a business that is apparently going to invest in a Conference Premier side. I find it strange that the owners have not disclosed themselves and after what happened to Notts. County with the Munto deal I would urge Hereford United to be very careful indeed - if a Russell King is involved with SS Global Sports then avoid at all costs!

Hereford United fans need to ask the following:

1) Who are you?
2) Why do you want to invest in Hereford United? What is in it for us, and what is in it for you?
3) What is your plan for the club's development?
4) What timescale are you going to use for promotion back to League 2?
5) Where is the money? Where is the proof of the money and how long will it be before the money is in the clubs bank?
6) Will David Keyte stay or go?
7) Do you have plans to rebuild Edgar Street or are you going to build a new stadium (say on the abandoned race-course?)
8) Will all debts and loans be wiped off?
9) Who is your choice of manager for next season?

If the new owners can answer these questions and others, then I feel that maybe Hereford fans would be less worried. They deserve better than what they are getting at present and a bit of honesty and clarity will go a long way.

Some very interesting questions asked here.
Getting the answers would be most valuable.
"A bit of honesty and clarity would go a long way" - very well said. We, the fans, have sort this for most of the season.

This is precisely the reason that Keyte and the others associated with the club should say nothing at all until there is money in the bank and action taken.

I do wish that they would say nothing until there is something to say.
The old mantra 'Investment is on the way' is damaging to the club and threatens the goodwill of the only people who really have the clubs interests at heart. The Fans who turn up every other week.

Good Post PrefabedSprout. Do they have a plan? Have they committed to any investment?

Without investment the club is in trouble. I hope this shower know what they are doing.

Thanks Mizza, I have tried to be fair but I have to say that this whole deal looks deeply suspicious.

So Hereford (according to these SS Global Sports people) have pre-season games against Galatasaray (if so, why is this not being shouted from the rooftops?) Well, according to the tried and trusted (and respected!) Tony Kempster site Non League Matters these are Hereford United's CONFIRMED fixtures to date:

Tuesday 22nd July - Gloucester City v Hereford United (at Whaddon Road)

Tuesday 29th July - Westfields v Hereford United (HFA Senior Invitation Trophy)

Saturday 2nd August - Hereford United v Plymouth Argyle

TBC: Hereford United v Cardiff City XI and Malvern Town v Hereford United XI

A fixture against Galatasaray would take MONTHS to plan - they are one of the top teams in European Football and as such Hereford United would need to sort their hotels (5 stars), training facilities for their stay and not to mention a major police liaison as some of their fans can be a tad 'passionate'.

Having read the news today (oh boy!) it does not sound at all promising for Hereford United and it is hard to know who or what to believe at present.

I hope and pray that Hereford United do not go the same way that Worksop Town have done recently.

SS Global Sports doesn't look promising.

Ask Mr Google and for those tech savvy have a look who administers the domain, then do a cheeky companies house search.

I hope there's more to this shower than is suggested by the briefest glimpse into their affairs afforded by 5 minutes on Google.
