WOW, what a game on Monday! The atmosphere was fantastic and to come back after being one-nil down made the result even more special.

The players gave 100% on the day and the crowd really were the 12th man. I know the performances such as Monday’s have been a rarity at times this season, but Pete Beadle's got the lads playing with a bit more self-belief and if the season was a bit longer, I am sure we would not be in this precarious position. But on to Aldershot we go.

And who knows, may be third time lucky. I remember Brighton and the game against Torquay. It was a great win against Torquay, only for Barnet to win at Burton to send us down. Let's hope we do our job at Aldershot and Salisbury take something from Chester.

As the season draws to a close, this is a good time to reflect on what has been a very long, hard and stressful campaign on and off the field. After a very good period of games over Christmas and the New year, a lot of us were looking up the table and not down. But after the curse of the manager of the month award, good results seemed very hard to come by. So after the game at Wrexham, we had to say goodbye to Martin Foyle and Andy Porter, two great guys to work with, but as we are all aware, football is all about results. So Pete Beadle and Steve Jenkins stepped up and took on the task of rescuing our season, and with a mixture of our first team and the lads from the youth set up I feel they have performed well, Pete’s first few games were against some very good teams, the likes of Barnet, Woking, Grimsby and Gateshead were never going to be easy. And isn't it great to see local lads performing so well. Jarrod Bowen, Billy Murphy and Cory Williams have shown they can play at this level and let's not forget Joel Edwards and Sam Gwynne who without their injuries were looking good in the first team. A huge thankyou to all of our players, management and backroom staff who have been a credit to the club.

On the non playing side of the club, I must say a very public thank you to my wife Caroline who has backed myself and the club 100%. She works tirelessly behind the scenes doing whatever she can to help the club.

Huge thanks to Ellen Moore and her functions Staff and Lee Symonds and the office staff who have all worked incredibly hard through some very difficult conditions. A very special mention to Steve Thomas and his team of gate staff and stewards and the legend that is Jamie Griffiths and his web team. Another person, who is one of the unsung heroes, for whom the word 'no' does not exist, whatever is asked of him is Paul Harris who works tirelessly keeping the stadium up and running. It has been a priveledge to work with such a dedicated team of people. The financial problems are well documented and there have been a lot of stressful times. We have all worked well together, lifting our spirits up when times have been tough. As a director of the club, I take my responsibilities very seriously, and as such, I would like to personally apologise to the staff and fans for the turbulent season we have experienced, but I know in my heart that the good times will come again, as our motto constantly reminds us ... Our Greatest Glory Lies Not In Never Having Fallen But Rising When We Fall.

I must mention the Omid Djalili show. What a very special day that was. Not only from a financial point, but also the realisation that the extended football family were there for us. And apart from my bit of stage fright, I thought the show went really well.

And last, but by no means least, the fans, who have shown time and time again their fantastic commitment to this club. I am sure if we all come together as one we can move forward. So a big thanks to you all.

Come On you Whites!
