Greyhound Rugby Club lose 47-3 against Clee Hill

Clee Hill 47 pts Greyhound 3

MANAGER Mark Jones felt Greyhound gave their best display of the season - despite the bruising defeat.

Greyhound travelled with just 14 players but started the second half with just 12 men on the pitch.

"An injured player who turned up to watch borrowed some kit and went on to help out," said Jones.

"Such is the dedication that everyone played their hearts out to keep the score as low as it was.

"I was chuffed that the lads wanted to play despite the odds."

Greyhound face Cleobury Mortimer this Saturday and are looking forward to the club's Christmas party.

Mark Swain kicked Greyhound's against a Clee Hill side pushing for the Midlands Four West (North) title.

The hosts ran in eight tries, two conversions and a penalty.
