EWYAS Harold Football Club’s juniors are all kitted out - thanks to the Adam Stansfield Foundation.

The club has bought football kits and training equipment for their new under-10 and under-13 teams after securing grant funding.

“The Adam Stansfield Foundation has helped us to run two additional youth teams this season,” said Harold’s long-serving chairman Richard Mailes, also a director.

“We are grateful to the foundation for their support and we would like to get the message out to residents of Herefordshire to help promote their good work.”

The foundation was set up following the tragic death three years ago of Adam Stansfield, a hugely popular former Hereford United, Exeter City and Yeovil Town striker.

The foundation provides grants and facilities towards playing football for the benefit of children up to the age of 16 in Devon, Herefordshire and Somerset. Earlier this year, Ewyas Harold secured £49,975 from Sport England towards upgrading the changing rooms at the recreation ground.

The application was a partnership between the football club and Ewyas Harold Group Parish Council, who were the lead applicant.
