Hinton 1 Stafford Town 4 HINTON produced a tired- looking, lack-lustre performance against fellow mid-table West Midlands League Division 1 opponents and finished well beaten at Broomy Hill.
In a game where the home side were looking to maintain their recent run, they never got out of bottom gear in the first half, and were lucky to still be on level terms at the break.
The home side started well in the second half and dominated the game until the hour mark, taking the lead during this spell when Matt Smalley headed home from a Luke Semple cross.
Stafford were back on terms minutes later when Hinton conceded a needless free-kick on the edge of the box.
The visitors seized control and, unlike the first half, found the back of the net three more times in a 15-minute spell. This spree demoralised Hinton who conceded defeat.
Hinton's have an unexpected vacancy for a team manager to run their second side in the Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division. Anyone interested should contact Bob Semple on 07776 166295.
