LUCTONIANS were beaten 34-24 on the long trip to Leicester Lions in National Two North.
But it was a better day for Hereford who kept their second successive home clean sheet with a 5-0 success against Berkswell and Balsall at Wyeside in Midlands One West.
Ledbury also maintained their recent improvement with a 15-5 home win over Kings Norton in Midlands Three West (South).
But Bromyard remain in danger at the wrong end of the Midlands Four West (North) table after an 11-5 defeat at Bishops Castle.
Westfields battled to a 1-1 draw in their Midland Alliance clash at Heath Hayes.
In the West Midlands League Premier Division, Bromyard Town suffered a setback when they were beaten 3-1 at home by Shawbury United.
But there was better news for the section’s two other county clubs.
Will Perkins’ thunderbolt gave Wellington a 1-0 success at Cradley Town despite the loss of Ben Fischer for two bookable offences.
And goals from Paul Allam, Jack Lewis and Kane Kahake gave Pegasus Juniors a 3-1 success at Wolverhampton Casuals.
Leominster Town moved clear of the bottom four in Division One after a 4-3 home success against Penncroft.
There was triple success for the three Herefordshire Division Two sides.
Ledbury Town are back at the top of the table after beating Tenbury United 1-0, Bartestreet won 1-0 at Red Star Alma while unbeaten Lads Club enjoyed a 2-1 success over Penkridge Town.
