Luctonians beaten by Huddersfield but Greyhound see off Stoke

LUCTONIANS suffered an upset when they were overturned 21-12 by National Two North’s bottom-club Huddersfield.

Hereford gave the Midlands 1 West high-flyers Worcester Wanderers a tough battle before eventually going down 18-7.

Ledbury suffered a Midlands Three West (South) setback when they were beaten 32-22 at home by Pershore.

Grey hound had a good afternoon, however, winning their Midlands Five West (South) promotion clash with Stoke Old Boys at the Racecourse 38-29 to go clear at the top of the table.

But Ross slipped back in Gloucester 2 when they were beaten 16-7 at second-placed Ashley Down Old Boys.

Wellington beat Bartley Green 1-0 in the West Midlands League Premier Division thanks to Saul Thomas’ goal but it was a traumatic afternoon for the other two county sides in the section.

Pegasus Juniors were beaten 8-0 at Dudley Sports while Bromyard Town fared even worse, losing 11-1 at Lye Town.

Leominster Town gained three welcome points in Division One with a 3-0 home success against Bridgnorth Town Reserves.
