AN 87-year-old woman died at home two days after a fall.
Herefordshire Coroner's Court heard that Brenda Speakman was found dead in her bed at her home address in Monkland, near Leominster, by her daughter-in-law on July 14.
Mrs Speakman lived independently at home with the support of her family.
The inquest heard she had fallen on July 12, which alerted her family through her personal alarm.
Her daughter went to her home and an ambulance attended and Mrs Speakman was checked over. She was sore but otherwise seemed ok.
The next day she had walked out into her garden with her son and had been in good spirits.
Coroner Mark Bricknell said Mrs Speakman died of a left sided subdural haematoma fall, and she had fallen as a result of a brain stem haematoma.
He also noted she had hypertensive heart disease. He concluded she died a natural death.
