Excited crowds gathered at the Madley Environmental Centre this morning to watch the eclipse.
There were 150 schoolchildren from seven primary schools and 70 members from the Stargazers Lounge group based in Mordiford, as well as many members of the public.
As the temperature dropped and it became darker, people were able to look through specially filtered telescopes and through special glasses provided by the centre.
The weather was perfect for the viewing public as there was not a cloud in the sky at Madley.
