VILLAGERS met on the weekend to discuss their Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) as the deadline looms to add comment.

Breinton Parish Councillors Liz Morawiecka and Tony Geeson described the importance of the NDP to a crowd topping 50 on Saturday.

A steering group has worked to prepare the draft NDP, and they provided a display which included maps and details of draft policies for the public to consider before March 30.

The NDP for the parish of Breinton, which lies in the route of Herefordshire Council’s preferred western relief road around the city, guides development in the area through to 2031.

The plan contains 18 planning policies which cover issues including housing, design, renewables and energy, footpaths and lanes, land use, the natural environment and recreation.

Parish councillors said the NDP gives residents the opportunity to have a say in the development of their village and encouraged attendees to provide feedback in writing to the parish clerk, Graeme Adkin, at 2 Munstone Garden Cottages, Hereford HR1 3AH or, alternatively on email, at gadkin@btint ernet.com The NDP documents can be viewed at brein tonparish.co.uk, and in Hereford Library.
