THREE of the slowest roads for broadband in the UK are in Herefordshire, according to a new study.
Price comparison website – uSwitch.com – surveyed the average connection speed across the UK and discovered that three of the county's roads made it into the top 30 for slowest speeds.
Weston Beggard Lane, near Hereford, even made the top five with an average download speed of just 0.914Mbps while The Line in Linton, Ross-on-Wye, made it to number 14. Brampton Road, meanwhile, in Newton Farm, Hereford was the 21st slowest spot.
But it seems that a postcode lottery could play a part – even in the same county – with Friars Street, in Hereford, making the top 30 fastest roads in the UK with an average download speed of 57.16.
