AFTER the lead story in the Hereford Times (September 15), I would like to point out to readers an interesting map from 1987 (picture), which shows the route of the proposed eastern and western bypass routes, with junctions.
As you can see the first part of the eastern route is already built, now known as the Rotherwas Relief Road. I note that the cost of construction for the full bypass is estimated between £13 and £14 million! I wonder how much the council wishes it was still 1987?
