PLEASE would you pass on my thanks to the voters of North Herefordshire for once again placing their trust in me as their Member of Parliament and for supporting the Conservative Party.

I would also like to thank my supporters, the chairman of North Herefordshire Conservatives and all those who helped with my campaign for their hard work over recent months and my wife and family for their unwavering support.

I will continue to work hard to support our local communities, campaign for the countryside, help our farmers and call for improvements to our schools, hospital and public services.

My next advice surgery will be tomorrow (Friday) in Leominster – please call 01568 612565 for an appointment – and I will continue to hold surgeries in the market towns, as well as the mobile surgery in the summer to try to reach as many of the villages as possible.

Across the country people have voted for a change of Government and I am pleased that David Cameron has put the national interest first by forming a coalition. I look forward to playing my part as a Government Whip as well as working with many new colleagues, including Jesse Norman in Herefordshire South, Harriet Baldwin in West Worcestershire and Mark Garnier in Wyre Forest, all of whom fought superb campaigns to win their seats.

There will be many hard decisions to take to sort out the financial crisis as well as fulfilling our manifesto promises and I look forward to reporting our progress to you.

BILL WIGGIN MP, North Herefordshire.
