On Thursday 5th May we all will head to the polls to select the new Police and Crime Commissioner for West Mercia.
I am giving my full support to John Campion. Yes, he's the Conservative candidate, but having watched him in action over several months and campaigned with him in Hereford High Town, I have seen at first hand his commitment to local people and his desire to bring a fresh approach to the role.
He has developed a strong plan to improve West Mercia Police by focusing on security, reassurance and reform.
West Mercia Police are an excellent force, who have served Herefordshire superbly well over the years. John is the right man to work alongside them, and I hope readers will give him their support.
