I WOULD like to thank Lugg Valley Travel for taking a pragmatic approach to the needs of their customers, by now allowing dogs, with their owners, to travel on their local buses.

At a recent meeting of the 490 Supporters Group the issue of the no-dogs policy on the company’s buses was raised.

I am sure Lugg Valley Travel will gain passengers once the new policy has been sufficiently advertised and it will be of great benefit for locals and tourists/visitors who will now be able to travel with their best friends.

This is especially the case in North Hereford- shire where our only buses are run by Lugg Valley.

On a more local note, it is nice to have the weekday 490 (Ludlow- Leominster) service back to (almost) its original form (with more through-buses between Leominster and Ludlow) and I look forward to this being retained after March 2016 and the introduction of an improved Saturday service from September 12, 2015.

Again many thanks to Lugg Valley Travel and Herefordshire Council.
