RECENTLY 100 students left the comfortable and familiar surroundings of Weobley High School to venture out into the world of work on a week of work experience.

Students chose to go to businesses across the county and beyond, in a variety of sectors from farming to photography, engineering to education, law to the leisure industry, auctioneers, archaeologists, accountants and many more.

Our young people have gained valuable knowledge about employment and some are making plans for future careers as a result of their placements.

Others have been asked back for part-time jobs. Even the students who found the chosen work not quite what they envisaged, found out important information about themselves, giving them something to reflect on for the future.

The students wanted to say thank you for making their week such a memorable one.

Thank you Herefordshire employers! We hope you will be able to support us again next year!
