I AM writing to express my dismay at the seemingly imminent start to the building of 35 new houses on beautiful green farmland to the rear of White House Drive in Kingstone.

My concern arises from the fact that the application was originally refused by Herefordshire Council, only to be overruled and agreed by Westminster.

This process has seemed to allow a number of conditions that the developers had to meet before building could begin to be either ignored or sidestepped.

There are still omissions from the public drawings and the proposed access to the new properties is wholly inadequate.

Welsh Water have also suddenly ratified the development when previously they have indicated that the current water system is adequate only for the current housing.

It seems to me Herefordshire is in real danger of unprecedented development and no village judging by this case is safe.

Localism appears to only be tolerated when it fits in with central government plans.

I would like to see the whole of this application audited externally to confirm that the correct procedure has been adhered to.
