I READ an article entitled Call to cut traffic speeds on 'danger' road, and I thought Leominster councillors were finally listening to the residents of Westfield Walk.
Unfortunately it was about Leominster's Hereford Road/South Street.
In Westfield Walk there is a school, pharmacy and doctor's surgery, as well as a short-cut for traffic from the north of Leominster.
I do wonder if any local councillors have ever travelled along Westfield Walk.
I understand traffic monitoring was carried out by Herefordshire Council during the school holidays, which did not reflect the true traffic volume.
Westfield Walk residents regularly see accidents and stand-offs by irate drivers racing across the road and travelling on the pavements, where people are walking.
If Hereford Road/South Street is being considered for 20mph zone, please councillors, consider Westfield Walk before there is a serious accident.
