WELL, what a surprise Herefordshire Council is looking at a bigger debt, as well as spending £17 million on corporate accommodation(Council debt increase feared, Hereford Times, November 6).
This is on top of the millions they have spent over 14 months on their offices in Plough Lane and on other projects for themselves, not the taxpayers.
We can’t use public loos as they have closed them, but spent thousands on new ones for them in their building (which only work 9am-5pm), new car parks and a resurfaced road to their buildings.
We have to live with potholes or walk because the buses stop running early now.
Again, I don’t think the council give a monkeys about the people they are meant to look after.
If they did, they would learn to live with what they have, not get in debt to get a new office.
If you spent the money on the people of Herefordshire, not yourselves, you would not be in so much debt.
