ON July 19 I was taken to the accident and emergency department at County Hospital, Hereford, and I have need to thank all concerned.
During my week there, after a serious hip injury and consequential surgery, the care I received from both A&E and the ward – not forgetting the wonderful caring paramedics and ambulance staff – was second to none.
After a week I was transferred to Ledbury Community Hospital for a further five weeks and I cannot praise them enough.
There is far too much bad press about our hospital care.
But my experience has left me thinking, without doubt, we are so lucky to have such skilful and dedicated staff of all sectors working under great pressure in our hospital. From a very grateful patient.
