FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a house fire near Ledbury last night.
Two crews were called to Bosbury shortly before 11pm after the occupants noticed a burning smell in the bedroom.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used a hose reel a covering jet to extinguish the flames, while positive pressure ventilation was used to help clear the smoke.
A man was treated at the scene for possible smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was a faulty control switch on an electric blanket, which damaged the blanket, as well as a bed, mattress and bedside cabinet.
