LEDBURY Hunt members are getting ready for the most high profile event on their annual calendar, the Boxing Day meet.
The event usually attracts thousands of spectators to Ledbury High Street, as riders resplendent in their "pink" hunting jackets enjoy hospitality on horseback, after they are offered brimming stirrup cups.
This year, The Ledbury Hunt will be meeting in Ledbury High Street at 10.45am on Boxing Day.
Hunt spokesman, Donald Haden said: "It is expected that as always there will several thousand local people attending, showing their support for this traditional event that has taken place in Ledbury for more than 170 years.
"After moving off at 11am the hounds and followers will ride out of the town and will enjoy a day of hunting with the permission of farmers and land owners across the local countryside seeking and following scented trails that have been laid earlier in the day."
