IT will be a home from home for singer Livia King, when she performs at a charity concert in Ledbury.

Livia will entertain a local audience at The Baptist Church, The Homend, on September 24, from 7.30pm.

A Ledbury resident, Livia King recently completed her postgraduate certificate in vocal performance at the Birmingham Conservatoire, where she won the award for best aria in the 2016 Ashleyan Opera

Prize.

A spokesman said: "She has also performed at St Paul's Cathedral, St Martin-in-the-fields, St John's Smith Square and St Mark's, Venice and locally,

she is a regular soloist with The Jenny Lind Singers.

"Also appearing is Carlos Alonso who will be adding his tenor voice as well as joining Livia in duets. He is a member of Opera Sulis and has sung with the

Bath Philharmonia Orchestra, and the Bristol School’s Philharmonia."

The spokesman added: "Our popular singers are joined by a local instrumental group, 'The

Three Busketeers', ( Al, Val and Matt ) offering a light-hearted presentation of well-known favourites with which you can sing along and tap your toes, if you wish."

With another local, Malcolm MacLeod, will be compering the show and accompanying Livia and Carlos and providing piano interludes.

The spokesman said: "Malcolm, of course is well known as the leader of our Ledbury Choral Society; the varied evening will be very enjoyable and supporting a

worthy cause, Marie Curie."
