THE A438 has re-opened following multiple crashes on the A438 from Ledbury to Hereford after an oil spillage.

Police were called at approximately 7:20am to multiple crashes on the A438 between Tarrington and Dormington.

An oil spillage, near Dormington caused for the road to be closed but it has now re-opened.

There have been a number of single vehicle crashes following the oil spillage which have involved a red Honda Civic, white Ford Transit, green Skoda and red VW Polo.

The driver of the Honda has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Highways were at the scene and have now gritted the effected area of the road.

Police are investigating the circumstances involving the incident
