WOODSIDE Country Park in Ledbury, which has won ten David Bellamy conservation gold awards in a row, is to celebrate its 25th anniversary with an open afternoon.

This will take place on Sunday, June 26, from 2pm to 5pm.

Professor Bellamy recently went on record to say that the owners, Ken and Janet Davies and their family have created a "wildlife wonderland" on the 28-acre park which was originally bought as a smallholding, around 50 years ago.

During the open afternoon, there will be site tours and refreshments.

As well as being a conservation area Woodside, which is off Falcon Lane, is a holiday destination, with its own camp site, bunkhouse and lodges.
